I've used Amsoil before, and I thought it was well worth it. I use 5w30 in my higher compression N/A engine.

Torco, hand down. So many teams, even in highend Nascar and Powerade, run others decals, but use Torco oils: http://www.torcousa.com

Rocket Robert Martin could probably explain why if he still goes on here. there was a huge thread explaining it. i run motul 300v in my bike which sees 13,700rpms at least 40 times per ride but thats extra viscous wet clutch stuff and its 16 bucks a quart so, forget that.

I just went from Royal Purple to Torco after talking to this guy about it here on HT. I'm using their MTF also. I couldn't be happier

I ran Torco in one of my stock b16's and it made the rocker arms really really black. It was like sludgy. Is there a reason for it being like that? Is this a true street oil? My machinist told me it was a race oil and it had little/no detergents in it. Thanks allot....i will take bisi's word for but just need more info before spending that kinda money. For now, I am running Valvoline Non synthetic. It does its job until i hit 600-700 miles on my freshly built motor.

Did you read the label on the oil? The manufacturers arent secretive about which oils are meant for street and which are race only. Read the label.

Yes but it wasnt specific i was told it was a racing oil for street cars. I didnt know it turned the rockers black. With Torco oil what is the recommended change interval?

I've ran both Royal Purple and Redline with similar results. Both of them are good oils but my boss tends to get the huge 5 gallon Royal Purple containers most of the time.
