Default Test drove a 2001 S2000

So ever since I found out about the S2000 I wanted one. Right now I am in no financial situation to get one even though I want one extremely badly. I currently own a 1997 Prelude SH. Anyways I wanted to see how one was like so I took a test drive. I got in it and I didnt realize how damn small it was. I liked it though! Fits like a glove! I like that because it feels that I have more control over my car. I would not though like it in a long drive would begin to want more room. Anyways...Over my prelude the power is astounding. MUCH more power exactly what I have been wanting. I like being in something so small. And not to mention around LBC its hard to park. The Prelude is kinda bigger than the average car so I dont fit in a lot of spots. Hell if I didnt owe 7k on my prelude I woulda got it right there. Just wanted to share my feelings about the amazing S2000. Oh and the top down was pure sex.

I would but I still owe on my prelude and I'd have to do monthly payments.

Trade the prelude in. As long as its worth more than you owe you will be ok as long as you can take on a bigger payment.

Well I owe like exactly 7k I dont think my Prelude is worth that much is it? Perfect running condition 1997 134k miles. Some scrapes on the paint nothing major. Interior is in good condition.

You are right, and to a dealer even less. They might give you 4k. But if you could find a cheaper s2k like the 10-12k range and just add the say 3k on top, your payment will only be like 2 something a month over 5 years.

And how is the S2000 on bolt ons? I preferrably want to get the usual I/H/E and maybe a lightweight flywheel and some CF. Would it be a good amount faster with those and a decent tune?

what do you have to lose by testing the market on selling your prelude? put it up for 7500/obo and see what happens....

wowww sucks for you....owing $7k on a 1997 with 134k miles....sounds like someone made a bad financial decision purchasing it in the first place......do NOT make the same mistake with the s2000 and set yourself even farther behind.

Midway around beach blvd?

Please don't buy from anyone around there unless you THOUROUGHLY look over the car. They buy crashed/junked cars and fix them up. I learned the hard way.

Not saying all those people around there are shady, but I made the mistake of not really looking over the car. Im a lot more cautious now.

thats exactly the color/year i want, i CAN afford it but im not sure if i want it enough to, i make around $320 a week and all i have for payments is $225 for rent a month so its either i get the s2k and have little to spend on or wait till i get a raise

Um that is a dealership somewhere between beach blvd. and bolsa or hazard right?

Just a couple of pointers .. that S has been sitting there FOREVER. And that dealership is a very un-trustworthy one.
