Default tire alignment?????

Ok my car is lowered about 1 1/2in. (i have no camber kit) and I am getting very odd tire wear. inside is bald, then thread, then bald, then tread again. (from left to right) So i was thinking that the tires are toed in very bad. Ok so I went to go get a tire alignment and when they put it on the rack he told me he could not do anything for me do to me not having a camber kit. My car is not slammed and I was under the impression that my problem was toe and not camber. when I asked him if he could just get it close he said no. So my question is do i need to get a camber kit and try again or are these guys just trying to get more money out of me????? He also made a comment about my tire size. I am running 99-00 si's with 205/50/15. he made the comment that my car is supposed to have 14's (93 hatch) and that my speedo is off like 10 mph i was like WTF??? Y would this have anything to do with alignment?? if i was running 195/65/14's it seems to me that swithing to 205/50/15's should be about the same in actual diameter. any info would be great thanx..

That guy was an idiot. Most alignment techs are stuck up idiots.

Your camber is not adjustable (just like 90% of all other cars on the road) but he could have set the toe.

You can verify that your wheel/tire size is the same by searching for an online tire aspect ratio calculator.

True. Just go to a different shop and tell them you need your toe aligned on all 4 corners, and that is all.
