Since i've figured out I can't afford to actually race the car I have right now, i've been told that i should try to rent it out. it's a 94 Honda Accord which would fall into PTE (used to be H4 trim). As far as competitiveness, i ran a high 1:28 in it on 3 year old toyos at summit in october, in which the same event todd in the probe had a best lap of 1:27.5. In PTE form, i will put the hankooks on it which would help significantly (the ITA record was reset on hankooks on the old pavement this year). As far as driveability it's really easy and forgiving compared to crx's/civic hatches. The longer wheel base gives plenty of high speed stability. the uphill esses at VIR are simple flat out, and it's a real blast to drive.

so anyone interested? i'm also considering renting for DEs as well. just seeing what options are available.

PS. i'm looking at getting the car classed in IT, i'm assuming ITA. if anyone prefers SCCA, and i know there's a few [/sarcasm] I can move that process up on the priority list.
