The EG6 climate controls will not work in our cars since the JDM one is electronically operated while ours is cable. What you need to do to get the look is the swap over the JDM climate control faceplate and bulbs into the US climate control.

I have the JDM climate control in the new dash I just bought. This is the climate control you are talking about right?

How is that climate control JDM? That dash isn't even JDM.

It's an JDM EG6 climate control in a US dash. I think Eran needs to stick with his 6th gen.

Is it that stupid little "AUTO" button that won't do anything in a USDM car? I don't get what's so special about it.

I don't own an "EG" ... nor do I particularly like them. You ask me anything about an "EK" and some JDM or EDM parts, I'll be happy to point it out. Get off my nuts, spanky.

Exactly. I guess I'm just used to special parts actually looking different.

The only ones I've ever seen were, but I'd have to see the display on the screen to be 100% sure. I've never heard of one coming from anywhere but Japan/Asia.

display is jdm with 1 or 2 words in usdm this my is DD car

Super. Like I said, I've never heard of one not being from Japan or Asia, and I guess I still haven't.

 

ya i have never seen 1 in complete usdm.

I took off my USDM climate control harness and plugged it right into the back of my JDM climate control I dont get why it wouldn't work/be any diffrent for you?

So with a USDM blower box with cable actuation, that would effectively not work.

So that means mine has had the faceplate and bulbs swapped over from the JDM auto climate control to the USDM cable climate control box??

If what they are saying is correct, than yes. Yours just has the faceplate swapped. If it's an automatic HVAC, then it would have no "cable" to actuate the heater valve.

 

yea...they probably switched a while back before you got it...you wouldnt need that cable since the jdm one is auto...thanks alot though guys...
