u have any other mods on the car?just the header alone wont do anything.it wont make muffler louder. aftermarket header will make air flow a little little bit better,

D15??

what head?

do you want to do a turbo? if you want to boost it, why get a new header, that you will replace anyway.

A new 4-2-1 header for the d-series, obx or some ebay ss one, will flow better than stock, might give you a LITTLE more torque..

cause it flows better, your fuel economy might actually go up, just don't floor it for the sound...

Do you have any other mods on the engine? Details, details! We can't suggest anything unless you tell us what you have now.

D15? That could be nearly any D series, not to mention your location isn't given in your profile, which doesn't help us narrow it down any.

Do you have an intake and/or exhaust? One thing I would suggest would be to get both of those if you're just looking for a little bolt on N/A response. Either way, one of the components of the I/H/E setup does little, as they are part of the respirating system of any N/A car. If you aren't planning for F/I, then do them all. That's the best way to get easy response from your engine.

Sidenote: Notice how I'm saying "response," and not power? That's because you gain very little from any of the above, so you should look more for the response and reactiveness you get out of the engine from such upgrades.

Maybe a little near redline. 2-gauge plug wires with atomic core spark plugs igniting airplane fuel will give you way more

In that case, an upgrade for the header is a pretty good choice, as it will complete your system. The intake is widened and relocated to more easily intake air, while the header allows for the exhaust to more quickly leave the engine, and if mated to matching diameter exhaust (god forbid 3", because that's wayyy too much for a d15: we need a little backpressure), you'll allow better flow and response time, as well as a few numbers.

However, don't look into the numbers as much as you should the response and sporty feel that the system will get you, and you'll be satisfied for the time being. Trust, the I/H/E system is very common in the tuner community. I myself have that until I put my turbo on.

Didn't notice a difference with my car when I put those on, and I'm a guy who measures his mileage at every refill. Besides, you say you already have intake and exhaust, why would you be worried about mileage now, when there's been no noticeable drop with those on?

a cheap header has 2 effects on a internally untouched d-series engine:

1) you shed about 15-20lbs from the front of the car over the cast iron manifold

2)placebo.

i am pretty confident that all performance gains felt are through the weight loss.
