I got my Eibach Sportlines for ~$200 shipped if I remember right.</TD></TR></TABLE>
I had Sportlines on my 95 accord ex. Too low of a ride height for me to be a daily driver. It was a 1.8 inch drop. On a civic it is about a 1.6 in drop. Ground control by Eibach is a good adjustable coil-over setup.

On my Civic it's definitely lower (probably about 1/4" from tucking tire in the front and 1/2" from tucking tire in the rear)...people constantly tell me it needs to go lower, but for the amount of commuting I have to do during the school year, it's perfect for me
I'd get linear rate coil overs (the GC kit mentioned is nice - talk to 'em and get some spring rates that get the job done for you and don't bottom out, but still perform up to your expectations; if you get stiffish springs, be prepared to upgrade shocks too, or you're just going to bounce around)...
1) better handling - progressive rate springs are strange, they're soft to start and then firm up, so, if you're driving hard its difficult to compensate/anticipate for the switch from soft to hard.
2) Coil overs allow you to adjust ride height so you can change from summer to winter and/or you won't be kicking yourself when your car isn't as low as you wanted, or way too low for DD.

if you are on a budget then i would recommend neuspeed race springs. they give an agressive lowered stance, not slammed, but not to high either.
but before you slap on any spring, i suggest you save some more money and get some good struts. being that you are on a budget i'm not going to recommend you to get coilovers, sleeves, or adjustable struts.
there are really good struts out there that are reasonably priced, but not adjustable.
and take your time with your suspension, like others said, it's not something you want to be cheap with. it took me 2 years to save up and get everything the way i wanted it as far as suspension and brakes go.

Koni and Tein are two of my favorites. personally you suspension is just as important as you motor if not more. I live in Cali everything is more expensive here but I do alot of canyon driving. I'm prolly going Koni. It's only like 7 bills for a nice race set up. Do you want style or preformance? A friend once told your suspesnsion should be one of the most expensive things on your car. ( if you race )
i have used Tein stechs on both my civics, they are great for dd, 1.7 front 1.9 rear drop, and should fit your budget, only bout 120-150 depending on where you can get them. i pair it with kyb-gr2 or tokico blues.
on a budget huh... me too, so i didn't lower it.
i think i am going to agree with the idea that you need to plan on some investment in you suspension.
if you want it cheap, just search ebay and buy the cheapest set. but i wouldn't recommend this

People who "need" to lower their cars have obviously never lived an entire year on $4000 with rent due every month.
