Default EG w/ 5 LUG?

Well here's the deal, i gotz me an eg with a b20b in it. I like, its fast, and i can roast through my tires like butter. My car apears to be stock from the outside, only thing that gives me away is my c8's, and my window visors. My del sol seats and the rest of my interior is not visible due to my tint. Lets get to the point, if i buy a 5 lug conversion, is it even worth it? Could it be stolen? Harder to find rims? Make my car eye candy to theives? Let me know???!! Thanks

What do you mean is it worth it? It's all pesonal preference. If you like it then go for it. And what do you mean, "Could it be stolen"? Of course it could. It could be stolen at any time. Regardless of whether you have the 5 lug conversion. I don't think the fact that you have a 5 lug conversion will make your car that much more appealing to theives. By being an eg with a B20 it's already very appealing to theives.

Invest heavily in security. You drive a Honda. I've been on the victim side of car theft before and it ******* blows. If you like the 5 lug setup and want to drop cash on it, then do it.

Like the others have said... its all personal preference. My view on this is that I would not drop $1k on a 5lug setup just to say I have a 5lug. Yes, the GM Type-R rims look clean, but not clean enough for me to swap it in. I would much rather take half of that and upgrade my brake system... GSR rear disc, Brembo blanks, PBR pads, 1" Type R MC + Booster, SS brake lines etc. With the rest of the money you could get yourself some decent rims, maybe some m@d tyt3 JDM rims so you can be all "hella hiefey" in the y@y area and ****... oh, and so you can "roast your tires like butter" too.

hmm.... roasting through tires could mean

1. your tires are so shitty that theres no traction
2. it really is fast

99% chance its the first option

imo, 5 lug is more for show. itll scream out "steal me again, im already stolen"

this is because u live in orlando..

but honeslty bro i wouldnt waste a g just for one more lug nut.. unlessw ur getting a really good deal which ur probly not. **** with that type of money u could do b20 vtec which will make ur car really fast and still probly have enough money left over to put discs on teh back (if u dont have them allready)

$250 for a lug nut and stud? Why?

Keep your 4-lug.

i would worry more about posting what you have on H-T than 5 lug being more appealing to theives... i would invest in a alarm system if i were you cuz you live in cali and you have a "eg"

How does roasting tires or the appearance of your car have anything to do with your query about a 5-lug swap?

You sound like the biggest poser ever.

Christ man. Grow up.

The only advantages to a 5-lug are: bling, slightly better brakes, and a slightly different wheel market is now available.

x2

You definitely get bling from the 5lug, I love the look on the cars that do have it... especially fmrproject's EJ1. I love that EJ1... has a clean B18b1 stock w/ 5lug and its not too overdone at all.

Anyhow, back to the topic... like I said before, for the brake setup you could easily swap out the back, install some blanks and nice pads w/ good fluid and ugrade your MC/Booster.

I think its just one more lug to take off, but its really up to you. If you already have 5 lug and you see some rims that you really like it might be a 4 lug rim, what cha gonna do?

So let me get this straight... you are coming on here to see if you should buy a stolen 5-lug setup? Let me ask you this... how effin' stupid are you? And then you are going to sit here and talk ****, saying that if he knew what a B20b was that he would understand why you are "roasting through your tires like butter". Its a ******* B20b in an EG... not a modded H22 in an EG. Depending on the year you have about 131-133tq, which is only 6-7ftlbs give or take off a B18b/b1. Its not like the motor is a torque god. Here is a hint... dont rev up to 3k at ever light and drop the clutch and you wont have the "roasting" issue.

Yeah it was pretty much the worst comeback I've ever heard.

Very original

It was the whole narrative introduction that lost the battle for you kid. "My car appears to be stock, but little to they know I HAVE A STOCK B20!"

Or: "only thing that gives me away is my c8's, and my window visors. My del sol seats and the rest of my interior is not visible due to my tint."

You sound like a selfish elitist who has no idea how much he's wrong. Not to mention how silly you sound. And I don't even want to get started with your e-gangster grammar.

OP, before you open your ignorant mouth again and shove your foot in it I would really think before you speak. So here is your opportunity to sit down, shut up and not even respond... but this is HT and you will most likely try and flex your e-retardation so have at it with a "comeback attempt". <--- Make note of how I used the word "attempt" after. If you are unclear as to the definition then perhaps you can google it.

he must be runnin that b20 bio-diesel to be roastinz tirez likez butterz on hizzz b20zzzzz motorzzzzzzz - knowingly buying stolen parts makes you look like a POS for contributing to people stealing hondas and an even bigger flamer for using Ghettosoft Werd. cars get stolen if they are bone stock or fully built. if someone wants your car they are gonna take it..doesnt matter whats on or in it.

and all Ek_Forever_Guy said is that there is no need to say you roast your tires like butter...it does make you look like a poser begging for attention. couldve just said..."hey, will buying a 5-lug conversion make people steal my car faster?" - no need for anything else.

also..having a b20 isnt anything special...i think all the b20s that i personally have heard about have blown up after a week or 2...so congratzzzz wit dat

I've tried roasting butter before, and it's really not that easy. I'm really not getting the analogy.
