15" 5zigen FN01R-C; Quality?
I'm interested in purchasing a set of 15x7" 5zigen FN01R-C's, but I've heard that they break easily. I know they're a popular rim and many people own them. So I'd appreciate some feedback from anyone who knows about them, thanks.
I got the 16's and havent had any problems so far, but I havent put them on the track. I have taken them to the mountains and worked them over really good, and the streets around here aint worth a expletive and given them a beatin. This has only been for a little over 2 months now. Everyone likes the way they look though. I got the black ones. The biggest thing most people like is how the center where the lugs are is polished. I cant tell when I am drivin but they say it looks really good with the center being polished and the lip being polished when going down the highway.
I've had them for for maybe 2 years. I haven't really abused them. However I have developed a chip in one. Looks like I took a rock just on the inside of the lip. But I really don't think you can stop that sort of stuff.
I had a 15" bronze set a year ago. I loved those wheels. No problems with paint chipping or breaking spokes. The paint on the centercaps fade to silver pretty quickly though.
