review:
I've been screwing around with this camera since I picked up a proto-type at SEMA and all I can say is that it is BAD A$$!!!!
We instantly became an authorized dealer for Go Pro and became the first in the L.A. area to stock the motorsport kit version.
self contained unit all wraped up in one package, I have yet to see anything else like it in the market.
We can't stop finding cool uses for this camera.
stop by for a free demo.
I will personally mount this camera to your ride and have you drive (cough,cough,..race) around the block.
last but not least, all I can say is "ATTENTION ALL DRIFTERS!!!"
thanks,

1 YEAR MANUFACTURES WARRANTY!
regarding your rock issue.
the warranty will not cover natural disaster related matters.
It's as silly as saying "what if a lightning bolt strikes me while I was outside using the camera."
What I can tell you is, The protective cover the camera is enclosed in is made of polycarbonate, as stated above.
same material used on face masks in professional sporting events like THE NFL.
I've dropped our demo camera several times over various hard surfaces on purpose and it still works great.
so,... when will you be buying one? LOL!

Hi for controlled environment settings.
Lo for high speed situations.
if you set the camera on Hi, while attached to your bumper, fender, etc, you will pick up wind sounds.
You must set the audio to lo setting to minimize wind sound.
