im installing the viper 791xv alarm with aftermarket door lock actuators. the alarm works fine but when i connect the door lock to the alarm and try to arm it the alarm doesnt send enought power to lock/unlock the doors. so do i need a relay for the door locks or is it built in the alarm it self or can it be that i install the alarm worng?

 

Yes. You will need to use the lock module that came with the 791.

I'll be surprised if you haven't burned out the low-current lock/unlock outputs trying to drive aftermarket actuators directly.

 

ehh funny thing is i never saw it in the box. bought the alarm second hand but unused.

 

Then you'll need to use two relays.

Yes. 451m is all you need. Contains two mini-relays.

 

What kind of car? You sure you tagged the right wires?
