Radiator Nightmare!!

Default Radiator Nightmare!!

So in the process of changing the radiator, one of the damn bolt snapped half way. Now under pressure, it sqirts out coolant... Any advice on geting this screw out? The picture is of which bolt snapped, if you follow the top radiator whose ytoull get to it...

I think you mean "bolt", theres no screws (we all hope) holding together your cooling system

That part shouldnt have to come out to change a radiator, but despite that, if it did break off, your going to have to have to take a tap/die kit to it to effectivly remove it. Otherwise let a shop take it out for you. Those things can be a bitch.

x2, Like he said, you shouldnt have taken off that screw to remove the radiator.

I was taking that thing to change the gasket, but then uhhhh so i am gonna try and remove it with a special tool tommorow

Hondabond is that white stuff thats like silicone, it started leakin through, so i got a gasket from pepboys...

sometimes you can take a sharp chiesel and put the sharp corner of it into what is remaining of the bolt and tap on it so that it will eventually back out. If you do this soak it in PB Blaster so that whatever caused it to sieze can be broken loose.

Thanks yall i got it out. Took of the cap, and it was sticking it out a tiny bit, grabbed it with my fingers and twisted it out. Thank God!!
