Im going to start painting my car using the roller with the help the $50 bucks forum thingi.. my stock color is blue, my question is do i need to report to dmv or anyone if i paint my car? in the paper work its said blue, because i dont want to get pull over by cops... anyone? is it legal paint in the garage? cause i heard its illegal on some states. You don't technically have to report that you painted your car. It will just say something different on your registration. Most states it is illegal to spray paint without proper ventilation or filtration. It all has to do with the volitile organic compound that is being released.
Without proper filteration and ventilation you could be facing hefty fines if one of your neighbors complains. If you have no problems with your neighbors then I would not see a problem with painting a car at your house.
Since you are gonna roll your paint you have nothing to worry about.
