Recommended HID kelvins?
I curently have 8000K Xenon HIDs and honestly, I cant see anything while I'm driving around night time while its raining.. my high beams even give a better output. I was hoping that I wouldn't crash anything because it is really hard to see and the lanes were not reflecting. What is the recommended kelvins if you want to see better at night during rain? as well as regular driving at night?
4300k is brightest and is what comes on all cars equipped with HIDs, but Phillips Ultinon 6000k are great as well. They give a nice blue tint and they're just about as bright as the 4300k bulbs but just with a blue tint. I've been running these for about a year now with not problems
I'll go with 4300K, thanks guys!
I've seen an Evo IX with 3000K once.. very yellow like foglights. At first I was like what kind of person would want that low of kelvins on a high priced car like that lol.

Most 4300K HID bulbs are rated at 3200 lumens output.
Philips Ultinon 6000K is rated at 2400 lumens output, a 25% reduction from 4300K, and they generally cost 2-3 times as much. Not worth it if you ask me.
