Default Any way to clear out amber on 96-98 coupe tail lights??

I heard that on 92-95 civics you can peel out the amber on the tail lights and make the half-and-hlaf red/white. I want to tail-lights like that, but I really dont want to spend $100 on tail lights if I can do it for close to free.

If anybody knows how to do this, please tell me how, or give me a website that can show me how.

Thanks!!!!!!

I don't think you can do that for 96-98 taillights. Just buy some 99-00 rear taillights.

You cannot clear out 92-95 civic tail lights. When I read this post about an hour ago I got all excited and ripped the taillights out of my eg and grabbed a heat gun and started peeling the outer lens off my taillights. To my major dissapointment it appears that the yellow lens is molded into the red lens. You cannot peel off any type of amber tape or anything. I know I must sound like a dumbass but hey I really want a set of red/clear tails for my hatch. I probably ruined my taillights for good now, thanks alot. Its not your fault though, I probably should have done my homework instead of ripping my lights apart.

Dude, STFU

Seriously, I said that I heard that you could do it, not, I know you can do it, and also, I didn't post instructions that were incorrect, so I really don't see how I am to blame. You need to pull your head out of your ***.

BTW, here is the link t where I heard that you could clear out those tails...

So why don't you **** and moan about your tail lights there.

Instead of making a new exhaust poll, I wanted to know how your exhaust sounds. Is that a real 5Zigen Fireball?

For anyone interested in painting their taillights red, don't buy the stuff that speedshop sells, go to your hardware store, by red glass paint, it looks alot better!!! And it's like $5 only. If anyone is interested in pics, email me imprezars@hotmail.com and I'll try to post some pics soon!!!
