I/H/E question
ok, I have a '96 accord Lx with the f22b2 and I will eventually be swapping in a h22 engine. My question is, if i were to get a intake (probably a AEM SRI), header (probably Greddy), and an exhaust (probably a Greddy Sp or Evo) for my current engine, which (if any of the three) could i use with the h22? I know the f22b is o-oo-o and i currently forget how the h22 is set up, but that's my question. Thanks in advanced for any and all help.
the intake will most likely fit, its made more for the car than the engine. the headers will not fit, and depending on how the exhaust is built you'll just have to attach a new set of headers to the exhaust to allow it to fit up to the h22... the problem there is whether or not the headers for the h22 are longer of shorter than the headers for the f22 because this will cause you to have to modify the exhaust to make it fit. IMO I'd just do the entire exhaust (headers all the way back) after you've completed your swap. (thats what I did)
If you know that you are doing the H swap for sure then don't put any money into F parts. Buy a CAI for your Accord and that's all I would do for now.
