Providing that ALL WIRING is done right, the crank angle sensor could be bad. Like tortex said, its inside the distributor. If you take it apart, you will notice there are magnets with "arms" sticking out of them on the center shaft. These "arms" are the triggers. There are also sensors mounted in the casing, these are the pickups. The magnet with the 4 triggers is the TDC sensor, the one with the multiple triggers is the crank angle sensor. Make sure that the pickup is close enough to the trigger (about .5mm should do). They are adjustable. The old dists used open coil type pickups which like to unravel.

He needs to double check his cam timing, I got a code 9 after my swap because the thing jumped time because of the cheap *** GATES timing belt I put on it. Have a HONDA belt on it now. Could be that too, or what you other guys said. It can be far enough out (ehaust cam) to trip that AND still run reasonably well.
