06 si back seat removal??
ok my friend has a 2006 civic si 2 door. his trunk latch broke and the trunk has no key hole, and since its the latch that broke the button on the remote will not open it either. heres the question HOW DO YOU TAKE THE BACK SEAT OUT????? we looked and theres no latch like most other civics and we couldnt see any bolts to remove for the seat either... if you could help it would be appreciated. thanks
to remove the seat itself, just give it a good yank upwards. then in between the right most seat and the middle seat is a 10mm (i think its 10).
i took mine out for a little bit when i put in my system. i tucked my wires under my seat

This is a defect and should be recalled. The inside trunk latch can easily break so that the key won't work and then the you have to remove the seat. I took my 2006 with 36k Civic EX to the dealer and it cost me 200 to fix. It is a safety hazard and a problem. I carry work equipment in my car and could not work. It would be great if you get a flat. Probably won't happen if you keep nothing in your trunk but I am not sure. I am pushing for a recall and looking for others with the same problem. Stuff can break if it breaks this easy and you can't get in trunk that is a defect and a safety hazard.
