Okay this should be kinda easy I guess how can you identify the 97-99 itr cams vs the gsr cams? They look so identical to me. I'm not talkin about the 00-01 itr cams because that would be very easy to identify. So yeah, how do you identify 97-99 itr cams both the intake and the exhaust vs the Gsr cams both the intake and exhaust thanks for all the help.

 

you prolly wouldnt know the diffrence unless you got some super precise eyes. Im not sure but mybe there are numbers stamped on the cams.

 

you can tell them apart easily by the marks on the distributor side of the cam. there are engraved rings that tell them apart, there's a page on FFsquad that shows the different ones but it seems to be down, here a pic of my 2000 ITR cams, the 97-99 look different though but you can see the rings on the top i'm talking about

hmmm that still doesn't help answer my question yet. Yes, I do know the ctr and 00-01 itr cams has the engraved rings but i'm talking about the 97-99 itr cams how can you tell them apart from the gsr cams? Thanks for any info pics link. Yeah that site is down Btw, does anyone remember the gsr letter marking and the itr letter marking at the oil hole on the cams?? The cam i got here are mark with a letter F. Thanks for any help.

 

if i remeber right the 97-99 has one engraved ring and 2pretruding ridges, describe yours and maybe somone will know, but you cant go by the lettering

Mine has no rings its just straight flat looks like the gsr cam or the 97-99 itr cams I'm not even sure. Thats why i'm trying to identify the cams. Thanks for any help.

 

if it has no rings its most likely a gsr or b16a cam.

yia i almost got ripped off. a guy sold me b16 cams. i had them checked and got my money back.

well i had stock gsr cams. bought 96 itr cams. and had a shop look at it and they said they were b16. because they didnt have these to ripples. but i got my money back. got scared after from buying from other people
