First you have to remove any OEM paint, spray your wheels with aircraft paint stripper, then sand if needed.
You can put index cards in between your wheel and tire instead of taping(its a little easier), I would paint the lip green first (no need to tape off the center of the wheel, yet) do alot of "thin" coats, and let each coat dry before you do the next (not just one Thick *** coat of paint.)
Once the lip is done and REALLY dry, tape it off.(Its easier to get a straighter line when taping off the lip, rather than the center of the wheel, because it has a smooth surface all the way around!)
Paint the center the same way as the lip, many thin coats of paint! Once you are done, let it dry, then spray it with a few thin layers of clear coat.
Use paint that will stand up to heat and rocks, dont just get a 96 cent can from walmart
Thats all i can think of, off the top of my head at 6:30 in the morning uhhh i need coffee
