I've been looking at dyno charts and it just seems that the S2000 just revs higher, therefore making more HP. But it does have more peak torque. So is it different cam profiles? Different head?

The s2ooo engine(f20) is completely different then the rsx motor(k20) but R & D has been showing that they can be used together. Ie.. RSX motor with a s2ooo head, or maybe a crv motor with a rsx head..either way the new motor is starting to show life. Do a search on the s2ooo engine and the rsx engine and see the difference yourself bro. Both are sweet motors and have alot of potential.

Excuse me for not knowing any Honda engine codes before coming here. I thought I could learn more here than on Honda's website. I thank the two people that gave me some useful information.

One other thing I did learn is why some of you Honda guys are referred to as "rice", it's your arrogance. At least on this post 50% of you are.

The question was - "What are the differences between the RSX-S and S2000 engines?"

It almost seems like people thought it read -
"Is there a difference between the RSX-S and S2000 engines?"

Anyways, I think Djazair has a good question. I believe that the Rsx Type R
will have something in the range of 220hp. Like most engines,
the Type R engine will be operating at a very high efficiency (~110hp/litre)
and perhaps close to it's limit? Question I have is if it is possible to obtain the
s2000 numbers with the Rsx-s or typeR engine (without forced induction)
If so what is the extent of work that will be required?

Both the S2000 and RSX-S have 2.0 litre engines yet one produces 40hp less.
Is the reason for the discrepancy in hp related to marketing and pricing structure
for vehicles?
