tranny question

i have a s 80 tranyy and im told by alot of ppl that that is a gsr tranny but some1 said it was an ls tranny so i waqnna kno what the real deal is

It could be either.

Check the VIN plate.

If it has DC4/DB7, then it's an LS. If it has DC2/DB8, then it's a GSR.
