Default 2000 Si lip on a 97 civic coupe ?

hey fellas im orderin a 2000 civic si lip for a buddy of mine that has a 97 civic coupe, will it fit ?

if not what kinda modifcations will need to be done ?

Hmmm, I know the Si and 96-98 have different bumpers.

Won't fit. I don't know what modifications need to be done, but I know if you just buy one and try to bolt them right up the 96-98 bumper is too big.

I have a 97 coupe with a 96-98 type r lip, order it from ebay for around 120 dollars shipped.

yes, get the 96-98 sir lip, looks just as good.
or try autodynamic.com or tornactive.com.
they have sir/ctr style lips.

99 si lip will not fit onto a 96-98 civic. the lip is too short.

LOL... it is the front. I had the lip from my previous car, so no loss there. Here is the lip from the other side ... The car IS lowered now.

just get the oem/sir front lip, no mods to put it on, it just bolts right on. You can get it at manhonda for like 100 dollars with shipping, here is the link...... http://www.manhonda.com/store/honda/...TOKEN=85299721

the 2000 lip will fit onto a 96-98 civic. i have this done to my 97 hatch. look at the red civic in the pic, see the extra space on the bumper, well just cut that down. On mine i just had to cut down 1 inch on both sides of the 97 bumper to get the 2000 Si lip to fit on. I've had it on for awhile now. Other people on here know about that modification but i guess they haven't replied yet. But yeah man it does fit just needs some modification.
