i have a oem radio that was given to me and i put it in my integra but its asking me a code i asked the person that gave it to me and he has no idea because he recieved the radio fom some one else so i called acura and they are willing to give me the code but only if i show proof of ownership that i own the car the radio came out of which is really stupid because i work at a dealership and asked him if i could get one of my service guys to call him and give them an ro or something to prove that i didnt steal it or something but the guy said no because its an anti theft radio and me not having proof that the car was mine and him giving me the code over the phone or in person without proff of ownership would be him contradicting the whole purpose of an anti theft radio i have had two dealerships do this to me already if anybody has any helpfull info i would appreciate it thank you the serial number to the radio is oi19167

 

Call another dealership. If they won't give it to you, call another one. Rinse, lather, repeat.
