13" v 15" Drag wheels
1st post - whoo hoo
What are the main differences between running 13's opposed to 15's, my brake setup means I would have to swapover for street use as the 13's would not clear.
Any thoughts on this - also looking for a 4x100 setup with skinnies at the rear. Just need to work out if I need 13/15's...

Lets throw this out for instance.
2000lbs car/driver
220-240whp set-up (NA)
would 15's or 13's be the better tire? </TD></TR></TABLE>
I'd run a 13" wheel with a 23x7.5x13 tire. Considering you have a b16/itr trans ratio

First off you shouldnt be running 9 inch wide slicks on 6.5 inch wheels.(assuming your are running the rotas in the pic)
Thats your first problem. Slicks should be somewhere near 1 inch wide as the wheel.
Id go with the right wheel first.

What do you 60 now?
In my experience, YES. You will notice more traction.

i dont think you are correct with that. wen i called M&H i talked to john and he recommended these to me. i explained to him the rim and hp goals of the car and this is what he recommeded. ill let john post to clear this up
and edit its an 8.5 not a 9 inch slick.

I could be wrong. Its happened before haha.
Only reason I said that was because of my own experience.
I had 23x8x13 m&h on vx wheels and couldnt pull better than a 1.9.
Slapped on 7.5 inch wide lensos and went 1.701

i was running a friends eg hatch, laid down 208whp. cut 1.88 60's on 22x8x15's. switched to 22x8x13's, cutting low 1.7's and dropped E.T. 2 tenths cut 2 1.68's also
and that was open diff.
more side wall, means more wrinkle, which means more traction
if you do not need bigger than a 26" tire, run 13's. plus they are ususally lighter
