Question for injen cai owner
I just purchase a cai and says here in the instruction guide that cutting is required upon installation? I heard that some people didnt cut there's and some did some cutting. If i chose not to cut or make a hole, will there be a problem? Any vibration? Or i have to follow the instructions? Youre response will be greatly appreciated.
thanks
thanks
i did not need to cut anything at all. I did it on a lift but could have done it on the ground with a jack and some stands. I did not like the idea of chopping up my new car either. every thing works fine with no problems at all and from what I've seen and heard the injen is the best CAI IMO. you will need to remove the clips under the front bumper (plastic shield) and get to it. its not hard but take your time and get it right. good luck!
Just installed my intake. I didnt cut anything. Now my car sound great specially when i hit vtec. Sounds like a beast!
I Love it!!! Two thumbs up for injen.

I recommend you dont cut anything. I does tell you to cut into the wheel well but I have heard that doing that places greater risk of getting water and debris closer to the filter which would not be good. It is plastic and it will bend accordingly. The wheel well is there for a reason, keep it there.

Good work on a great buy
From what i heard some people said that taking the front left WHEEL OFF was needed, but i didn't think so. My mechanic ( if you could call a guy who owns a 8.3 sec 92 Talon and is building a 1,500 HP EVO a "mechanic") didn't have to.
Such a sexy sound, especially with my catback
