Default Accord weight question: possibly a typical question.

Can I get an Accord down to 2200 pounds? How about 2300? It needs to have a dashboard and two front seats.

Let me know.

Take the engine and transmission out and put in a chain drive. Pump those legs!

Trying to cut out 500 or 600lbs will be tough. I am guessing that this is a dedicated race car..... Remove all the interior panels, rear seats, spare tire carpet and anything that can be removed from the interior of the car. Then you could look into replacing metal body panels with CF or fiberglass. Fenders, hood and trunk lid for starters. and try looking for some lighter rims. That might get you into the 2200lb range.

I took apart my seats before for cleaning... So I'm going to guess around how heavy each component is.
-Back seat for the cushion and the back support ~25-30lbs
-Passenger seat~30-35lbs
-Driver seat with up and down feature. (EX model I believe) ~35-40lbs
-Accord's carpeting is really thick. IDK the weight, but should be a good amount.
-Rear coupe side panels is around 7lbs. each.

Spare tire is a lot. Trunk trims.

While some of you are speculating, to cut off 600lbs you're doing a lot more than normal removal.

You'll need to look into cutting the metal panels apart leaving only the outside skin in sections.

All the glass comes out to be replaced by plexi (or no glass)

Sound deadening would have to be removed, etc

But you don't list the year of your accord?
