Default So I want to Turbo my RSX-S

I don't have the money yet, but its a big investment and i don't want to just blow off 5k.. So I wanted to you know your opinions on your turbos and what should i get if I'm trying to aim for a 12s at the 1/4 in the future. I was thinking of taking the car to a good shop somewhere in texas.

My mods on the engine are just dc race header/injen cai/motor mount inserts/ just got the car a few months ago... but the end of summer i should have about 5-6k to spend on my car well here is a picture

nice rims tho lol. how much do they weigh?

u could probably sell ur dcrh and injen cai now and throw the stock back on for a little while till ur boosted.

to get 12s at the 1/4 u could stay with NA if u wanted to.

Custom set up from a shop is what I would do in your situation. Don't buy/let them tell you to buy cheap parts. Turbine, BOV, WG, and manifold especially. Likely to go over $5k after your build your kit, buy fuel parts, kpro/tune, and have them install.

Or go n/a.

k pro is a must but as far as turbo kits
peakboost looks like good quality kits and theres a couple different turbos u can choose depending on power goals and then theres all the little extra stuff u will have to get like injectors, spark plugs,bc ...well gl

LOL there is no way you're going to turbo your car the right way with 5K especially if you are going to be paying to have the work done. Kpro alone is 1K then you need the actual kit, fuel setup, gauges, tune, exhaust, clutch, map, bc, etc.... FAST, CHEAP, RELIABLE pick only two. If all you really want is to get into the 12s piece together a rev-hard kit..or even a used greddy kit will get you there with the appropiate changes.

I would recommend the peak boost turbo kit. Its priced at 3199 but after your done buying kpro, smaller battery, and mounts you will be at around 5000-6000 and will be easily in the 12's.

im turboing my car as we speak and i would recomend t1 if you go to a place in texas its in rowlett tx, but anyways so far ive only spent 500$ with hook ups tho and have gotten tial waste gate and bov, also an hks cast iron turbo manifold. but like they say you pay for what you get and so far ive only gone top brand. or close to it. when all said and done it should be around 2500$ once again thats with people helpin me find parts. but should pull out around 450 hp.

Running a 12 NA would cost more than running turbo...

Well keep saving your pennies. Depending on what Turbo kit you go with, I would look more towards spending $7-8k. Many things will need to be purchased besides the turbo kit itself. If you plan on getting it installed professional, you can tack on a few more thousand.

Did you already make a list or search for things you will need besides the Turbo kit itself? Well since you stated you will be getting around $5000.00 by summer, no point in feeding any more information or questions at you. Not sure if you are serious about Boosting, so I guess we can all just wait.

Get the money and have the knowledge.

You can get any turbo kit. Not sure what you are really asking? Are you talking about local?

i was wondering if the kit said S-type only, can it fit a Base model RSX?

Not really. It's BS. People say that because the base rsx has a lower compression ratio than the type-s. The base will make less power on any setup compared to a type-s. Reliability is all in the quality of the parts used, tune, power level, and amount of abuse you give the car.
