i have a friend with a hatchback eg that rev at 3,000 rpm at 80 mph on 5th gear and my ek sedan revs 3 at 68 mph on 5th gear. i travel alot. i travel more highway than city, what d series tranny would be good for the highway. i really want to swap in an eg hatch d15 tranny but if you guys know one the revs lower on higher mph please let me know. ohh and would the d15 eg hatch tranny fit my 97 sedan d16y7???? i heard all d series parts are interchangeable but just to verify.

 

they'd be interchangeable, but if you're all upset over this and still with a SOHC, don't ever go B series Vtec. 80 mph is 4500rpm+

 

i'm not going b series. my sedan is just a reliable daily.
