Default VTEC ON THE ACCORD>>

when does it kick in on a 2001 accord f23a1 motor?? it does feel like it does or you really dont hear it... is that a way i can get it to pop louder or somthing???

From what I have heard I guess the SOHC VTEC Accords aren't much for pop'n VTEC.

If you want to hear your intake more try a CAI and cone filter. That will make your intake a bit louder, not going to do anything for VTEC though. A nice cam would help you out but I don't think that there are any available off the self for the F23's as of yet. You may be able to get a machine shop to do a regrind or a custom one for a few pennies. Other than that in order to get an aggressive VTEC your going to have to spend a few K on an H22 engine swap or head swap.

yea bro.... i was plannin on havin a cam machined but for turbo cause i am going for turbo but i also wanted a little bit more agressive vtec as my turbo spooled up... more HP u know.... but i dont i know the cams are gonna be a pretty and shiny *** penny haha
