Yeah... not a bad roll bar. The 4pt "Race" bar is 52lbs and runs about $360 with removable crossbar and harness bar. Beware shipping can be up to $120 depending on where you live. I got mine from IOPort... see Jason's post above for the URL...

These companies who ship these cages are making money off of shipping i believe. My father owns a truck dealership so we deal with a number of freight companies on a daily basis. I was talking to one of the guys for instance and he drives for Estes Truck Lines. He said for them to ship a cage that weighs say 80 lbs with all the shipping and packing material it should only cost $60-$70 tops. That should be included for cross country as well. I am going to look further into this and make sure that i am correct. $120 just seems a lot for less than 100lbs.

my kirk cage which weighed a good bit cost like $63 to ship (or $67, I forget exactly). Either way it was exact shipping, I paid trhe shipping company their rate for the weight of the pallet. Packaging, etc was including in the base price of the Kirk cage.
kinda heavy but gets the job done in a weekend warrior.
are they really worth to get? i mean why not 6 points or more? 4 points actully make some change to your car?

6 points are a 50-50 decision. For a street car, I'd suggest a bar, even though I had a cage in my car. The chance of slamming your head into the bars is a valid concern with a 6-point road racing cage, even when padded.

Even with a harness you will still hit the cage.....Thats why in race cars there are pads, restraints out the *** and a helmet......WHy do you think winston cup cars have 3 foot long head rests, nets on the inside etc.... All racing harness stretch, and It is unrealistic to beleive they will not....
