replica or real itr header????????

Default replica or real itr header????????

I swapped and itr motor into my civic, its a 97 jdm spec and sa you should know it came with a 4-2-1 header. the oem 4-1 header is about $3-400. this shop sells me one for $100 but i wanna know what the diff. is will i be losing a lot of power? he say its the same cause its made form the oem mold and that the wealding and material is diff. please help thanks!!!! i want my money worth!!!!

You'll be fine with a replica, it's replicating an OEM B-Series header, it's not exactly a difficult design to match/beat.

Power wise it is the same, but the replica header is cheap and it will break on you ALOT. If you try to drag race your car, and you get some wheel hop, your header will crack, or if your scrape it anywhere it will also crack. The welds on the replica's arent that strong, and once they crack, you can reweld it as many times as you want, but the welds always crack again.

Dont get the replica, unless you have a welder and can fix it yourself everytime it cracks, you will lose alot of money getting it fixed.

^ I've never heard of it being that serious of a problem, I've heard of cracks on contact, but not from wheel hop.

Good idea: Buy the replica, and reinforce the welds to make sure.
