The question is above, answers appreciated.
I think the dealer uses Castrol GT 5-20.

Thanx!!

Thanx man,
Isn't syn blend synthetic? Thats weird that a dealer would go synthetic on a stock car.
Especially because once you go synthetic you have to use it forever.
Cheers

I don't know if you have to use it forever... I'm using Castrol Syntec for the first time right now, the other times I used the regular Castrol. And I think an '07 should hold the same, so yeah, about 4qt should do it. In the '06 manual it says 3.9, and I think it should be the same for the '07

I agree Mobil 1 is great if your racing. Otherwise it's a waste of money. My girl doesn't race.
And yeah I've always heard if you start using a synthetic oil, then you should never go back to the regular oil.

OK first of all YOu cant go back to dino if u use synthetic is ABSOLUTELY FALSE!
Especially as mentioned they use Synthetic blend. Thats basically dino with better additives.
IF you want to use regular oil use Mobil clean 5000, Castrol gxe or another good oil IMo based on oil analysis tests is Pennzoil

After you break in your car with the stock "break in" oil that comes in your car from the dealership. You should put in any kind of synthetic. you CAN go back to non syn. oil but its not going to be noticable if you dont. In the long wrong you should keep syntheic oil in your car. but its not going hurt your car unless you switch it when your car is still using the "break in" oil from factory
read it in the manual

you can switch back and forth without a problem. imo synthetic is worth it, whether youre driving a grocery getter or race car. sure your car isnt going to break down, just because you use conventional oil, but synthetic oil keeps your engine cleaner, longer. it probably actually saves you money, because, if you want to, you can extend your oil change intervals to almost double that of conventional oil. i havent hit 5k yet, but when i do, its nothing but mobil1 from there on.

top is synthetic oil, bottom is conventional...speaks for itself

that picture doesn't mean that conventional wont keep your engine clean it just means it cant last as long. It burns off and turns into sludge if you over - run it.
But again tis true that synthetic oil has a better addictive package to help clean out the engine.

Most dealerships (and quicky lubes) use a pneumatic-driven pump system that outputs through a hand gun with a digital meter. I pump about 4.300qt's to get to the top of the dipstick.

derrr yes it does...this picture is after only 384 hours...thats only 16 days...i mean, its 16 straight days but still...its like the equivalent of driving a car for like 3-4 months.
