What will give you the most HP per $ on a B16A?

What amount of horespower are you guys talking about though. Obviously with a turbo you could get some serious gains, but what about those bolt-ons?

turbo or nitrous i guess..

 

If you're talking bolt on stuff, I'd say sprockets and a dyno session, or a CTR intake cam.

 

nitrous is the cheapest, but a dragII kit will do wonders for a b16.

 

intake/header/exhaust before anything
then move to cams, turbo, etc.

 

y are u worried about horsepower???? Just because u have a lot of it doesnt necessarily mean your gunna go the fastest

 

best bolt on mod i have for the dollar so far, if we're talking ratios here, is my $25 test pipe off ebay

 

I am just looking for the most bang-for-the-buck. I am not looking to rig my whoopty up, but I would like to get something extra out of my car. I know that you can have "too much" horsepower and then you have all types of issues, i.e. drivability, traction, etc.. I know that it can be, plain and simply unpractical. But then again, that is not what I am looking for. Just want some extra HP .

good mod , drop in ---- just dont raise the redline from stock on THAT valvetrain

$500...75hp...not too shabby.

reccommends nitrous for its cheapness, but still is N/A.

 

for the test pipe! haha, same here!

CTR intake cam, i netted 10whp from 1 cam!

dyno session,+ cam gears (better get I/H/E first though)

 

If your only looking to do one or two mods get nos. If you want to build the motor up start with I/H/E like KAMin said

test pipes- you don't gain anything you wouldn't over a good flowing cat.

and then the import community complains about 'gas guzzling' v8's polluting the environment.......ironic, isn't it?

 

Where can I get some? and how much they run? Are they just drop in?

Great mod is Stock intake pipe if SI and Comptech Ice Box, Dc JDM header 2.5 collector (cheap) carsound 2.5 cat, Apexi N1 exhaust, Unorthodox racing crank pulley and other pulleys and 00-01 ITR cams and VAFC and some tunning makes good cheap HP and you will have fun. Also since the B16 is touque less a JDM final drive or ATS will help you out on the low RPM range and a LSD helps out a grip as well in handeling and launching.
