Default Will 99-00 lip fit 96-98?

Wondering if the 99-00 SI lip will fit on the 96-98 bumper? I know the frontend is a little different but figured it might since it goes on the bottom of the bumper.

Thanks

Agree with the above, I've heard its because of the bolts or s/t but I don't really know b/c I've never tried it.

Yes it does, I have one on mines. Best to space it down with pads to get the look right.

If you buy a 99-00 si/ctr replica lip for a 96-98 it will. Check out JDMshit.com, they have what you need to make your car look like ***. HA HA.

Damn you people.

It fits, but not too well in my opinion. I think it looks horrible. In the Apearance/Cosmetic forum, there is a thread titled" EJ Squad". Look through there, and decide for yourself.

It might fit but (1) why do it with an OEM one when they make Si/CTR Style front lips that look like the lip, but are made to fit the '96-'98 front and (2) it will look like *** either way.

Here's what it looks like (the Type R Style).

Just stick to lips made for your front end in the first place. Not the lips from other cars made to fit your front end.

i think it wraps around a little too far...but i wouldnt even bother with it...if you gotta work to make it fit then why waste your time? save your money and buy a lip that will fit on right without any modifying

Here are photos of my lip on my car with no hardware. All this is is the car, with the lip set on. I could drive down the road with it and it wouldn't fall off.

This is a stock lip. This lip is made by Honda for the 1998 USDM Civic coupe models. It was also sold overseas.

It was there (Puget Sound area), but without the lips.

And thank you.

Which one? There are three. CTR, SiR and the OEM/Sport. The one I posted above is very rare and won't be cheap. You can find replicas of the CTR and SiR lips though. Even when they're real they're cheaper.

you have to cut the 99-00 lip and the 98 bumper to make it all line up.

there it is on my car. i think it looks alright, but im looking to do SiR bumpers this year anyways

Don't like it. It seems a shame to cut up a discontinued front lip and a perfectly good front bumper.

It looks really clean and nice, but I don't think I could justify spending such a large amount of money on a lip that could be easily busted, or cracked while driving on the road, parking, etc..

That's why I don't slam my car.

I want what I like and I'm very picky. I don't like to settle.

Anyway though, this thread is actually about fitting a '99-'00 OEM lip on a '96-'98 front bumper.

I was just showing how my lip fits without hardware (as someone asked after I mentioned lips fitting well).
