ugly ass pinstrip
there's a pinstrip on a RSX-s im looking at buying. its a whicked deal and dont want to pass it up but every time i look at the pin strip i want to vomit all over the car and hope my acids will get it off =[!!!! did these come with them out of the dealership? or is it a stupid sticker?
Sry I miss read your post. I though you wanted to buy pinstirp for your rsx not that you want to buy an rsx and get rid of the pinstrip. Sorry bout that. Just some adhesive remover should do the trick.

Goo Gone sometimes takes the clear coat off. I had a prelude with a pin strip and I used goo gone to get rid of it and it took the clear coat off. If the car is at a dealership you can always ask them to take it off for you.

Yea I read in some book that you can use a razor blade but you have to put duct tape over the blade.
What I did is let my car sit in the sun and then used my fingernail and a hair dryer. I went to a hardware store and used some adhesive remover on the other side of my car instead of useing goo gone like I did the other side. It turned out a lot better.

I actually picked up one of these (not a pack) at a local Car Quest in town for like ten bucks! As long as you are some what careful you will not hurt anything and it is the same tool the dealer or any body repair man wil use. The first time I used one it worked great and did not mess up anything until I let a friend try and he burnt my paint for about a foot and then I made him stop (This was on my old truck)

As long as your paint is not in really bad shape, you can put the pinstripe tool right up against the paint and press somewhat hard, you won't have to press to hard hard, but a little pressure will be needed. It will leave a yellowish resdidue on the paint that will wipe right off. The only time I ever had a problem with it messing up the paint was with an old *** minivan, but the paint was old, fading, and starting to peel.
it comes right off with an eraser wheel. i use mine at work all time and newer paint isn't damaged by it at all, but it's a good idea to buff afterwards. there will be a line where the stripe used to be. i can get pic's if you don't know what it looks like.
or you could take it to bodyshop and someone like me could end up fixing it anyway.
