For those who has hasport mounts
i have heard if u use hasport mounts for b16 or b18c swap in ek or eg. u will not need oem tranny torque bracket mount and ac compressor torque mount, is that true?
thanks
thanks
When you go with mounts like hasport you have no reason for the torque mounts as the new mounts take over that job. If your going to run stock mounts then i recommend using those torque mounts.
With the Hasport mounts you don't have to run those lower front mounts, but you can if you want to. The Hasport mounts for B-series in the EG and EK are stock replacement type mounts and don't re-locate the engine, so you can run those mounts will still fit.

Yeah there's deffently more to that story.
I use Hasport Mounts and I love them. I did my swap without the torque mounts but after a month of driving, I wanted them back. The point is to keep the motor secure as possible and why wouldn't you want that?

really there is more to that pic i would say improper installation ive done many swaps using hasports and ive never ran into those problems not even with my own 250 hp all motor or 650hp turbo cars but its all up to you just search there was a guy who grinded and sanded then paint and it didnt look like it was there
won't hurt anyone to use the lower torque mount. in fact, its a lot safer to use them instead the main 3 mounts only. these torque mounts will help the main 3 mounts to stop the engine rocking back and forth... thus prolonged the life of the main 3 mounts.

HASport's R&D is generally considered second to none. Not to mention if you wanted to put a K20 into a Fit (ya ya ya not many people do) or some other odd chassis you would have to use HASports mounts or fab your own. Lots of people really respect them and that has to weigh something as well.
Over rated - can't agree.
Over priced - maybe a little.
