since this off season is pretty brutal with all the changes and waiting for the schedules and rules, i was really bummed about the future of import drag racing.

sitting back and taking it all in, really got me thinking about how we all got here in the first place. looking at all the old school threads about the all motor craze and battle with all the ol racers brings a smile to my face. so i just wanted to share some of my little joys i had growing up since we got some time on our hands until race season begins for 08.

i gotta say i had a blast looking at all the old school pictures and how much fun i really had doing this, and how much more friends and memories i will be making in 2008.

well im still trying to find some pictures of my og integra when it was green then to blue, but till then ill skip to 97-98'

here is my first integra, yes it was the green one lol .... this car has been through some crazy changes, it was candy paint and silver flake. i was a ricer and low rider junkie, but i loved racing

Since i hadn't done much to my car before actually being brought into the drag racing scene by Rota92 thats when i was able to see cars such as Jasons and figure out where i wanted to go.

Still wont reach the point of ballerness with my car though hahaha (at least not yet)

Well i dont have any pics of the car when i first started but her is what i ended up with after 6 years. car ran 12.60 on the motor no nitrous. tried to run the car on the street but the last few years never seen much street action as i was to lazy to switch the wheels and slicks back and forth and put the exhaust back on. This car was to solid to make a drag car out of it so i thought i would do the drag car and a street car but then is was all about the race car. so we bought another one and built my first drag car. the car is now cut all apart again going to have a full tube chassis. enjoy the pics

Here is my old daily driver from 2000-2004 when it was all finished.

 

I did not take much pics back then. But here is a pic of my Coupe that I used to street race with just about every night in the San Fernando Valley. This pic was taken I think around 1999 or 2000 I don't remember..... stayed single camw/ nitrous for a while since I was just a college student. Then went B16 with 75 shot to keep up with the new LS/VTECs that start poping up back then.

 

Damn jason, your guna make me do this... LOL my car's history is alittle more embarrassing... By the way, i remember seen ur old teg at HIN and showoff alot... lol glad im not the only one...

My car started as a show car... I just couldnt afford to race like i wanted so i did the next best thing

This was when we used to street race on the outskirts of town day or night... it used to be sweet, we could race when ever we wanted cuz no one knew what we did out there... (after f&f every kid in town was out there racing and got it shut down fast ) this pic was taken i believe it was 99 or 2000

nah it was a vertical flow air/air set up. it was a G60 supercharged set up, actually worked really well...look a little funny though.

my buddy franz did it for me.

its crazy how cars take over life. i was really in to skateboarding too thought i would forever and couldn't love anything more than skating. now im obsessed with cars.... i miss the simple days of waking up going skating all day not a care in the world.i still mess around every now and then then get mad because i suck now. lol

Natural progression, I miss the days of doing things with out much cares.. now its like **** if i skate and hurt myself (broken ankle) i wont be able to work = no money = broke = no car parts = bad news

exactly....skating used to be everything. i had way more skateboard sponsors than car sponsors. i still have shoes left over from when Adio was giving me way more stuff than i could ever use.

a few years ago i got back into it and picked it up better than ever, and again for the 3rd time broke my ankle. i just cant survive now if that happens so i just cant do it. that and im an old fart now so everything hurts twice as bad. i still use my skateboard to transport transmissions and stuff when im too lazy to carry them though haha.

 

this was my race car in the beginning stages. it was pretty beat up when i first saw it. i was amazed the body shop did a decent job on it.
