85mm headgasket on a 84.5mm motor?
is anyone on here running an 85mm golden eagle headgasket on a 84.5mm motor. the place where i buy my parts from only stocks 84mm and 85mm, no 84.5mm and the owner said i'll be fine with an 85 and thats what everybody else gets, but i dont know if hes just trying to make a buck or if its true......

had to chime in on this one... but from what i was taught, ur H.G. should always be at least .5mm over ur bore.. I learned this from one of Ed Bergenholtz's mechanics.. An since Ed was out there breaking track records I figured that was always the right way, im suprised using a gasket thats smaller than ur bore works out good, I figured it would mess with ur compression or something...
