is the hub centric ring for honda civics really 56.1?
my hub centric ring didn't fit snug against the rotor(this is with the ring taken off of the wheel). so i had to grind down the hub to make it fit.
isn't it suppose to fit snug against the rotor?
i got a new spindle and i had to do the same thing to this one.

No.
The outside edge of the ring is supposed to fit snug against the center bore of the wheel (that's the big hole in the middle of the wheel).
The inside edge of the ring is supposed to fit with a slight gap around the hub (the part of the hub that sticks out around the axle nut). Not the brake rotor.

The center is 56.15mm. Whoever made those rings tapered em too much if you ask me.
The centerbore of the rotor (the lower part of the hub) is 61.5mm for DX civics, and 64.1mm for Civics with 10.3" brakes (like EX models)
