2003 acura rsx -- headlight bulb keeps burning out.
mroning to all..
so the problem is my passenger side headlight bulb keeps burning out..i've replaced it about 3 times and today was going to be my 4th..actually got a fix-it ticket for it..was about to hit my local shop to pick up some headlight bulbs and install em today hopefully make it to the DMV before they close and get my ticket written off so i can send it in..
BUT...wanted to just throw a quick post to honda-tech first and maybe ask as to why it keeps burning..only the passenger side headlight bulb..4 times now...i'm pretty sure there's no wiring defficiencies going on..but the white plastic part on the actual ballast kinda where the bulb sits on is now turning brownish..from all the burning of the previous bulbs..my guess is i'll need to replace that soon? because maybe it's dirty or so damaged that it interferes the proper lighting...
any help or other guesses as to why and advice on how to fix it is greatly appreciated..thanx in advance

as of right now i'm trying to just install the oem bulbs back..and again..the passenger side does not work..i of course make sure to gently shake the bulbs i'm putting into the ballast to make sure if they're popped or not..and they're not..i did not buy new bulbs yet because i wanted to see if the oems would work...i WAS using i think they were NOKYA hyper whites?...not sure but they were just some cheap 20 dollars bulbs..
i went from the OEM bulbs..i changed those out to some white aftermarket ones..(the NOKYAs)..and have replaced these with 2 of the same sets of bulbs already..and now the OEM ones wont work..so i'm guessing the after market bulbs did something..i have a feeling if i go ahead and buy another set of aftermarket bulbs..same things gonna happen and the passenger side will pop.

well..i had both the OEM bulbs on...still passenger side was out..so i figured to put the left on the right..just to make sure there was no wiring problems..which wouldve sucked hard...and when i turned the headlights on, the driver side bulb wasnt on and the passenger side was..so it was the bulb..no problem really...i guess it was just the fact i had blown the same side 4 consecutive times..got me thinkin it was more internal or more complicated..so i guess..and hope..that it was just the bulb..easily fixed..we'll see if it happens again..
oh and P.S. ...thinkin of getting the authentic JDM ITR headlights w/ black housing w/ HIDs...
would i be at any risk of blowing the HID bulbs or damaging the kit and just wasting a whole lot of money with the type of problem i have now?
maybe taking it into the dealership(which i sort of wanted to avoid) to check and make sure i dont have anything too serious going on, would be smart?
