Default clicking noise from rear left tire??

Has anyone had this I only hear it when I'm in first and second gear going slow. It seems to be worse when it rains out. It almost sounds like a grinding noise while the tires are rolling, and it gets faster and slower depending on the wheels. Could it be a rusty spring or something by the tire. I checked back there and didnt' see anything out of the ordinary. I know that it's kinda hard to determine when your not right in front of it, but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.....

a rock in your tread? maybe a piece of broken nail IN the tire, i've had both of these problems before. I hope you figure it out man.

Yeah no I checked the tire, nothing is wrong w/ the tire that's what ****'s me off. I can't figure out what else it could be? It almost sounds like it could be a rustly spring that expands and contacts and when it does I hear the noise. Sorry it's hard to explain...

Maybe your brake dust shield is scraping against your rotors. It happened to me before, all I did is bend back the dust shield and problem solved.

Well.. the car itself has 39,0000 miles, but on the current tires I have about 25,000 on them.
