Da Boss linked me to the site. I always knew about HT, just never really had a reason to visit. I drive a semi hauling freight for Wal Mart. I did a couple of years in Solo SCCA, winning the region championship in 1999-2000. I am also a 7 year vet of ghost hunting.

I have a 78 Honda Civic CVCC. It's in the shop right now awaiting a new heart.

What brand did you go with for springs?

Or did you cut coils?

Looks like a solid project.

 

No cutting for me. Mine are heated. That's to keep the ride like stock. It is a very good project. I paid $100 for the car. But the engine blew two weeks later, lolol.

I like the car, very nice, Not a fan of heated springs, It weakens them and ruins spring rate, Also seen heated springs once they were pulled out and they bent 90 degrees to one side, Or they snapped

I hear that every time I tell someone that I've heated springs. After 20 years of heating springs on 8 different cars adn no problems, not one, I'll continue to do it, lolol. My last car, a 1996 Neon, made it through 220,000 miles on the factory struts supporting factory springs that were heated at mile number 50. Eight years of daily driving still didn't put damage to them.
