need help for my ek
hey i wanted to know what i could do to make my d16y7 faster in a cheap way. im on a 100 budget right now i wanted to know if anyone knew what i could buy performance wise. i want to be different with my car so i want to build. please help me

$100 isnt going to get you anything in terms of significant gains for your motor.
Cheap and faster are two words that dont always agree with each other. If you want faster, your going to have to spend money, and no, $100 is not good enough. That will get you an ebay axleback at best, or maybe a namebrand Short ram intake.
What are your goals? Is this car daily driven? Anything else done to it?

Take the $100 and put it in a bank account. When you have fifteen more $100's, buy an engine swap.
Then take the next $100 and put it into a bank account ....

$100 will get you a cheap intake off of eBay, or a suit for a well paying job interview.
I will warn you now, a D16Y7 is not the motor to go with. Save up some and get a better motor.

take the money - put in an envelope and leave it under your mattress - everytime you have extra money put it in the envelope - don't touch it for one year.
then when that year hits call me and i'll come over and pick it up....
it the mean time you can do a ghetto fabulous intake for $0 ... just pull off the extra tube off of your airbox -
so you'll have an airbox with a hole. the extra pipe does nothing and since your airbox sits right under the hood you won't have to worry about anything.
if you really want to spend the $100 - get a k&n drop in and you'll be set. it give the car a nice touch of throttle response and it sound great!!!
for the longest time before i put any money into my car i ran it like that and heads would turn thinking i had a either a b16 or an h22 - once i saved money i went ahead and got the b18c5 i always wanted.
