most of mine came out rather easily and i didnt use any dry ice. I got the car as a previous TL so im not sure of the conditions it was in before i got it. but most of it just came out in chunks. Especially in the hatch area.
I know it doesnt help, just saying is all.

i didnt do anything under the dash, just the floor all round and hatch area. U can feel the waves in the floor now with it removed. and drinks dont sit too well on it lol. Its a lil louding in the cabin, but not enuff for me to care.
You could try using a freeze spray like "freeze off" or if you hold a can of "dust off" upside down it will spray out WICKED COLD liquid which would probobly brittle it up pretty well... it'll take a lot of cans though and probobly not be the best thing for your brain unless you're pretty well ventilated... but it should work.
You can also try to get acetone and use the chisel/scraper to get the acetone underneith the insulation it will come up much easier than w/o...
The acetone worked wonders for me in removing some of the aftermarket sound deadening I put on in spots that I had to pull up and re-do.

im just bored and lookin through here... but how do u use dry ice to remove the sound deadening? ive never heard of this... and how much weight are we talkin here?
Look in the faq section theres a write up, it takes a lot of ice to do but the dry ice makes it happen a lot faster. I did this on my old car (corolla) with no ice, just use carpenters nail puller wedge type dealie and just start ripping it off from the corners, were ever you get stuck just use a chisel and a hammer, wipe of all the reside with brake parts cleaner.

what about in a del sol? ive removed the lame carpeting in the back but im not sure if theres sound deadening material... how much weight can i remove? and what about removing the firewall? ive had friends that did that too...
haha sorry yeah thats what i meant, i didnt know the proper terminology, thanks for the correction, but hey who needs a heater if you take ur firewall out? haha
Maybe it's just me, but removing the sound deadening material doesn't seem worth it. The general rule is that for every 100 pounds removed, it's 1/10th of a second (in 1/4 mile racing)...someone put that it all the sound deadening material weighs 25 pounds.
My question is, is it worth it to spend all that time removing that **** if you're not even going to cut off 1/10th of a second?

its not true, yes it is worth it, otherwise you wont see track time........................you cant tell officals that removing sound deadning material isnt worth it, a roll cage isnt worth it, and a fire suppresion system isnt worth it.......they simply WILL not let you race........................its not worth it
hey maybe ill see you on the track one day.........withut a roll cage, with flammable equipment in the car, and a stock motor becuase adding horsepower to a civic isnt worth it!
i see you in 2 years financing a car you can't buy sitting in GDD talking **** on honda civics becuase you simply don't know..........
you listed a myth, same as back pressure....ok if back pressure is a true myth than an o loop exhuast is the best part money can buy....................
nitrous doesnt burn piston rings........................ there is a replacment for displacment a fing turbo,

Dude, just stop typing.
Seriously, the majority of what you said makes no sense to me whatsoever.

You most certainly do NOT HAVE to remove your interior much less your factory sound deadening in order to get track time...

I don't autocross my car, but I would believe NonovUrbizniz over civic.slow mainly because he has some form of vocabulary and grammar.
