Default intake question

i have a 91 civic hatchback with a b18a1 in it . im running nitrous and with the 88-91 civic intake it has too many bends in it. the 92-95 civic has one bend at throttle body, and my buddy is using it on his and it works great. does anyone know if the cold air is longer than the short ram. what im trying to do is put it on my car but get it past my battery but only use the short ram, long staright pipe not the cold air kit. im just trying to see if i can purchase a short ram and be ok or if i need to get the cold air and cut it to length. does anyone know how long the short ram is, if so it would be greatly appreciated.

Of course a cold-air intake is longer, just buy a short-ram off eBay for $20-$25.

Look at a picture of a short ram installed. If it's not long enough for you, get more piping or just buy a cold-air kit and hack it up.

^True! get longer than needed and cut-to-length. Then you've got tube left over for future use too. You never know when you'll need a 3" circle template. LOL
