SFWD question about vehicle registration.
I have the opportunity to get a rolling shell from out of state that has a CD title. Parts car.
This car had a radio harness wire melt and the carpet smoked. The fire dept hosed it down on the interior although the carpet didnt even discolor, the owner just **** the bed and called 911.
This car would obviosly take a ton of work to get a repaired, salvage or clear title, and im not about to go spend 2k on new airbags, all the reciepts to make it legit etc, if im going to just pull it all back out to meet minimum weight and set it up for racing in a specific class.
Now after the facts, do i need to have this vehicle registered, inspected, and insured to run in SFWD??? Please explain exactly what is necessary since im just not sure. Thanks in advance

wait a little bit longer to see if the rules require it.

right exactly, but as of this past year and years past, what were the requirements? Because if they change it to allow no registration and then go back to it im gonna be screwed, buiding a chassis isnt the cheapest or least time consuming. Id rather do it once and do it right. This shell is unmolested and untouched, never been hit, original paint etc.

i have taken notice that most of the cars at englishtown this year for fall nationals were not registered. I think orginally they were supposed to be but it never stuck and they just let it go.
so basically i wont get kicked if i build a car and its not registered and inspected because of the inability to do so with the title?
