I have a 2007 CRV with just a little over 8,000miles on it. I always check the fluid levels monthly and noticed last night the coolant level has dropped a little. Normally its at the max line even when the car is cool, but now its about halfway between the min/max line. I know its still where the level should be but I am just concerned with the fact that its dropped a little. Is it normal to see it drop this much and there not be a problem? I checked the oil and there was no sign of coolant there, no white smoke, no signs of leak on the ground or in the engine area.

 

outside ambient temp will change the level of coolant about a cup from a hot day to a really cold day.
