Funny thing is, the whale ***** a bandwagon part. A short ram with a velocity stack is proven to work better.
I'd like to see if it works, though. Could you post a dyno chart when you install it?

I'd like to see some additional photos of the air box, particularly the inside and where it draws in air. It looks as though it should perform rather well, though the filter is a bit on the small side.
I am trying to figure out where this thing would even go....the piping makes it look like it would end up in the middle of nowhere.

Damn, give the guy some time to buy and install it. He just started this thread yesterday.

The box will block the heat from the engine bay, thus allowing "colder" air (less stagnant air) to enter the intake. This is the same sort of idea that Comptech had with their Icebox system and it seemed to perform quite well.
I'd be interested to see how this works as well. If its not too expensive, I'd be interested in it, even if the CF is fake. Just paint it flat black and drop in a K&N filter and you're set.
Edited: Just looked it up on EBAY. Its only $35 so its probably not real carbon fiber, but it doesn't look that bad.
