question about shaved engine bays

question about shaved engine bays
I was wondering exacly what a shaved engine bay is? Also I have seen engines with 4 chrome tube looking things sticking out where the headers are suppose to be and was woondering what they are called and what performance bennifits they provide.

shaved bays are pretty much wire tucks unless you strip everything and fill in holes and repaint and whatnot....
those are not those it is singular and its called a HEADER.....
im nicer than most people, but they will tell you what im about to...
